Joe was born in Beaver Falls,PA.He played
for the University of Alabama and played in the 1963 & 65 Orange Bowl and
the 1964 Sugar Bowl.The N.Y.Jets drafted him in 1965 and he was also the 1965
AFL Rookie of the Year.He was also the first NFL QB to throw for over 4,000
yards in a season.{as seen below}
